Gigi Mariani

Created for the exhibition My Private Garden, these Flowers earrings are built from individually formed discs of gold and niello, each worked separately before being assembled into a layered composition. The process gives every element its own surface, rhythm and trace of the hand, while the final arrangement evokes a flower in bloom. Rich in texture and contrast, the earrings bring together Mariani’s material experimentation with a distinctly organic sensibility.
