This is Alice Biolo

Alice Biolo (b. 1999, Padua, Italy) is an Italian artist based in Glasgow, Scotland. Her practice centers on body-related objects — both wearable and sculptural — that merge traditional craftsmanship with innovative techniques.

She studied Contemporary Jewellery Design at Liceo Artistico Pietro Selvatico in Padua, where she earned her diploma in 2018, before moving to Scotland to continue her studies at The Glasgow School of Art. She graduated with a First-Class BA (Hons) in 2023.

Biolo creates kinetic jewelry and sculptural works that unfold through interaction. Her pieces explore themes of insecurity, grief, trauma, and internal struggle, employing symbolism and mixed materials to uncover hidden emotional layers. By inviting the viewer or wearer to engage physically with her creations, Biolo transforms concealed elements into intimate discoveries — turning vulnerability into narrative strength.

Her work has been exhibited internationally, particularly across Europe and Asia, and has earned her numerous awards within the field of contemporary jewelry.
