This is Jürgen Eickhoff
Jürgen Eickhoff’s practice unfolds at the intersection of geology, design, and artistic exploration.
A jewelry designer, teacher, and gallerist, his multifaceted career reflects a lifelong dialogue between material, form, and meaning.
After earning a degree in geology in Munich in 1980, Eickhoff continued his studies at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, where he refined his artistic language and developed a distinct visual sensibility. In 1981, together with jewelry designer Marianne Schliwinski, he founded Galerie Spektrum in Munich — a pioneering platform that has shaped the field of contemporary jewelry for over four decades.
Throughout his career, Eickhoff has lectured and taught at several institutions, including the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Hildesheim (2005–2006), and has played a vital role in building significant public collections. Alongside Schliwinski, he has supported institutions such as the Danner-Stiftung and Die Neue Sammlung through generous donations and curatorial collaborations.
Eickhoff’s works are included in numerous public collections, among them:
– Badisches Landesmuseum, Karlsruhe (Germany)
– Dallas Museum of Art, Dallas (USA)
– Die Neue Sammlung, Munich (Germany)
– Kunstgewerbemuseum, Berlin (Germany)
– Landesmuseum Württemberg, Stuttgart (Germany)
– Münchner Stadtmuseum, Munich (Germany)
