This is Jacqueline Ryan
Jacqueline Ryan was born in London in 1966. She studied at West Surrey College of Art & Design in Farnham, specializing in three-dimensional design, metalwork, and jewelry. After graduating in 1989, she continued her studies at the Royal College of Art in London, where she earned her MA in Contemporary Jewellery in 1991. The following year, she moved to Italy, where she continues to live and work.
Ryan’s creations — inspired by the natural world — captivate through their sculptural intensity and vibrant color, achieved through the adaptation of traditional goldsmithing techniques to her own expressive language.
“Nature has fascinated me since I was a child. When I walk outdoors, I delight in the fine details, colors, forms, and compositions that nature creates as organisms grow or decay. It is my greatest inspiration. The natural world is ever-changing, and observing the transformation of the seasons and being outdoors in nature is like breathing to me. If I had to describe it in simple terms, I would say my work is a celebration of the natural world. It reflects my passion for animal and plant life, and I try to communicate the poetry and essence of nature, as I see it, through three-dimensional metal constructions as jewelry.”
Through her work, Ryan transforms the organic rhythms of nature into poetic, wearable sculptures — delicate yet powerful expressions of growth, transformation, and life itself.
