This is Heather Guidero
Heather Guidero’s jewelry is shaped by a lifelong fascination with line, form, and the quiet rhythms of daily life. Raised in rural Indiana, she first discovered her love for drawing and making amid the open landscapes of her childhood. A class at a local arts center ignited her passion for jewelry, leading her to pursue formal training at the Rhode Island School of Design.
After refining her craft as a goldsmith in New York, Guidero returned to Providence in 2005 to establish her own studio. Her collections are defined by graphic lines, dynamic patterns, and a keen sensitivity to movement — transforming line drawings into sculptural forms that come alive on the body. Inspired by modernist design, architecture, and fashion, she works primarily with ethically sourced gold and silver, often accented with diamonds or vibrant gemstones.
The result is jewelry that feels both bold and effortlessly wearable — designed to enhance personal style and invite interaction. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted in her Providence studio, where Guidero also shares her expertise as a teacher, mentoring the next generation of metalsmiths.
Her work has been exhibited in prominent museums and galleries across the United States, including the Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco and Jewelers’ Werk Galerie in Washington, D.C. Balancing her studio practice with teaching, yoga, and a love of food, cycling, and the outdoors, Guidero brings a spirit of curiosity and joy to everything she creates — continually exploring new ways to connect art, craft, and everyday life.
